Harrison Fisher (1875-1934) worked as a staff artist for Puck magazine early in his career. He soon concentrated on pictures of beautiful women, in the manner Charles Dana Gibson and Howard Chandler Christy. He preferred to work in pastel which reproduced effectively. For many years, he was under exclusive contract to do the monthly cover--always a pretty girl--for Cosmopolitan magazine.
