Harper's Weekly Cover 1861 New York Volunteers Civil War. Black; cream. Paper. This original cover is marked, "Vol. V.--No. 232. New York, Saturday, June 8, 1861." The cover engraving is titled, "Uniforms of the Fifth Regiment New York Volunteers, Colonel Duryee, Now at Fortress Monroe," The colonel is in a Union uniform, the four men and a drummer boy with him are in pantaloons and Near Eastern type uniforms. ; THIS IS AN ORIGINAL WOOD ENGRAVING.
