Harper's Weekly Cover 1862 Perryville, Kentucky Civil War. This original cover is marked, Harpers Weekly, Vol. VI.--No. 305., New York, Saturday, November 1, 1862. There are two engravings. One is titled, "The Town of Perryville, Kentucky, Scene Of The Recent Battle.--Sketched by Mr. H. Mosler." It shows a farmer leading his horse through a field with the town in the background. The second is titled, "The Pirate Alabama, Alias 209 Certified To Be Correct By Captain Hagar Of The Brilliant." It is signed, "GP." It shows a large ship under full sail, a distant ship burning and men in long boats. ; THIS IS AN ORIGINAL WOOD ENGRAVING.
