Harper's Weekly Civil War Cover, February 27, 1864. Black; cream. Paper. This original engraved cover is marked, "Harpers Weekly, Vol. VIII.--No. 374, New York, Saturday, February 27, 1864." The engraving is a monument with angles holding a scroll that reads, "In Memory of Our Soldiers and Sailors Who, On Land Or At Sea, Have Fallen Martyrs For Liberty and Law--Peace Be With Them. Amen." ; THIS IS AN ORIGINAL WOOD ENGRAVING.
