Harper's Weekly Civil War Cover Washington 1862. Black; cream. Paper. This original engraved cover is marked," Harpers Weekly, Vol. VI.-No. 307, New York, Saturday, November 15, 1862." The engraving is titled, "Convalescent Soldiers Passing Through Washington To Join Their Regiments.--Sketched by Mr. A. Oertel." It shows men on foot and mounted soldiers with the partially completed Capitol dome in the background.; THIS IS AN ORIGINAL WOOD ENGRAVING.
