Harper's Weekly Civil War Cover African Americn 1863. Black; cream. Paper. This original engraved cover is marked, "Harpers Weekly, Vol. VII.--No. 316., New York, Saturday, January 17, 1863." There are two engravings. The first is titled, "The Army of The Potomac In Huts.--Sketched by Mr. Theodore R. Davis." The second is titled, "The Teamsters Duel.--Sketched by Mr. Alfred R. Waud." It shows two African Americans dueling with whips as soldiers look on.; THIS IS AN ORIGINAL WOOD ENGRAVING.
