Stepdown Windsor Side Chair. Old; worn light wood finish.. Woods. The step-down crest rail is slightly curved. It is above seven curved, notched and tapered, bamboo turned spindles and two canted and bamboo turned stiles. The saddle seat is grooved. The chair has four canted and bamboo tuned legs and four bamboo turned stretchers. The saddle seat is grooved. The underside of the seat has traces of the original yellow and green paint. It is marked in pencil, "Jane Ann Kelleran Grandmother to Henrietta Clark brought this from Thomaston."
