C. C. Roberts Mud Puppy Lure, Box and Phamphlet. Gray; red; blue; yellow; black . Wood; metal. This Consance Charles Roberts Bait Company Mud Puppy is boxed and has a testimonial pamphlet dated December 31, 1948. The pamphlet contains drawings of the Mud Puppy lures and how they work. A photograph shows two fishermen, one holding a large Musky. This is a "Natural Mud Puppy" painted gray, with a red mouth and blotches, yellow belly and blue painted, jointed tail with a red metal tail fin and painted eyes. The treble hook is a WWII type made by soldering a single to a double. The box has a drawing of a fisherman reeling in a mud puppy as a large musky breaks the surface.
